Acupuncture originated in China as early as four to five thousand years ago and is regarded as one of the oldest forms of treatment for diseases or conditions. Acupuncture is used to balance the Qi (pronounced chee) within the body. This Qi, or energy, flows through our body within channels and when the energy is disrupted it causes dis-ease and if left long enough disease. There are 14 main meridian pathways throughout the body and each is connected to specific organs and/or glands. Acupuncture utilizes needles and other aids to help establish the flow of energy within these meridians. When this flow is disrupted it can cause a multitude of symptoms such as but not limited to headaches, inflammation and even pain.

Acupuncture enhances recuperative power and immunity to promote natural healing. It also improves physical, emotional health and overall well-being.
